C-TPAT

Enhance the supply chain and demonstrate the cargo security

C-TPAT is, however, one layer in U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) multi-layered cargo enforcement methodology. Through this program, CBP works with the trade group to fortify worldwide supply chains and to enhance United States border security.

What is C TPAT

C-TPAT is a voluntary public-private segment association program which perceives that CBP can give the most elevated amount of cargo security just through close collaboration with the guideline partners of the international supply chain, for example, importers, transporters, consolidators, authorized traditions specialists, and producers. The Security and Accountability for Every Port Act of 2006 gave a statutory system to the C-TPAT program and forced strict program oversight prerequisites.

Why certification is good for my business

  • The ability to move to the front of inspection lines
  • A lesser potential of CBP examinations and an exemption from Stratified Exams (SEs)
  • Shorter wait times at the border thus faster shipment.
  • Eligibility for other U.S. Government pilot programs such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Secure Supply Chain (SSC) program.
  • Access to the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lanes at land borders.
